Katherine has over 25 years of equine experience as an active competitor, instructor, and trainer. She began as an event rider under the tutelage of Kim Meier, a well-respected advanced level eventer. She quickly developed a love for the high-paced excitement of the show jumping circuit and began to narrow her training focus. She spent several years building a career showing, training, and teaching in New England. While looking for additional ways to improve the development and performance of her jumpers she discovered the grandeur of dressage. She continues to pursue excellence and accomplishments in this discipline.
Education and Philosophy
As a certified state of New Hampshire Experienced Educator with over 10 years in the public school system, Katherine brings a unique combination of traditional training and practical experience to her lessons. The ability to analyze, communicate, and evaluate student and equine performance is evident in the many accolades and awards of those she instructs.
Effective communication between horse and rider is the cornerstone of Katherine's philosophy. Creating opportunities for success with careful guidance enables both horse and rider to move closer to their personal goals.
